Ingredients:
900gram Fish Fillets of your choice
380 gram cornflour
3 eggs beaten
125ml milk
125ml lager beer
3 tbsp mustard
Tabasco sauce to taste
1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
(Paprika Thyme , Oregano and Onion powder can also be added to the mixture)
Veg Oil (spray)
2 tbsp salt
1 tbsp white pepper
1 tbsp black pepper
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 190 degr C
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, lager, mustard, tabasco (paprika/Onion Powder+Thyme and Oregano) and half of the salt and pepper in a mixing bowl
- Cut the fish fillets into small bite size pieces and place into the egg mixture, coat well
- Place in the fridge to cool for 1 to 2 hours
- Mix the remaining salt and pepper with the cornflour, spread onto a large plate
- Take the fish out of the egg mixture and dip into the plate of cornflour mix coat well
- Spray the fish top and bottom with oil use the low rack and a mesh grill if you have one
- Cook 8 to 9 mins or observe the color and cook until golden brown
